Full district totals. New-to-district teams have their own purple category, including rookies and other arrivals. Rookie years are not verified, so this is not a confirmed rookie count.
District event registrations: official 2027 FIRST Texas event rosters, checked October 29, 2026. Counts include the 12 qualifying district events, exclude championships, and reflect published rosters rather than payment status or waitlists. Zero means absent from all 12 published rosters at this snapshot. Open a team for its events and source links; registrations may change.
Team selection: choose All, Returning (registered teams already in the district), New to district, or Not returning. New to district includes rookies and other arrivals; rookie status is not verified. Search and district-event filters remain active. The separate Show county boundaries checkbox shows 254 Texas and 33 New Mexico county boundaries; hover for its name and total team count, or click to filter the roster. Category, search, and event-count filters still apply.
County and state boundaries: US Atlas 3.0.1, derived from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2017 cartographic boundary files, simplified at 1:10,000,000 scale. Geometry is embedded for offline use and uses the same longitude/latitude projection as team markers. County lists and counts estimate membership from each city’s average marker position, not a verified team address. Cities may cross county lines; unassigned teams remain visible outside county selections.
Registered 2027 is the team list on the FIRST 2027 Texas district page (167 teams, including 12 New Mexico teams). Not returning means the team played a 2026 Texas district event and is not on that list; some may still register. New to district means a 2027 team that did not appear at any 2026 Texas district event. That includes rookies, but it can also include teams moving in from another district or returning after a break. Exact rookie years are on each team's FIRST page, which could not be read from here, so this site does not claim them.
Marker positions are city centers with a small offset so teams in one city do not stack. Regions are assigned by nearest metro and are approximate. Team number bands are a rough proxy for team age, since numbers are issued in order.
